Real Madrid star hints he wants to leave the Spanish capital

Real Madrid may need to rebuild this summer under a new manager.
Despite Zinedine Zidane’s illustrious stint at Real Madrid, many negatives can be taken. One of them being many players felt unwanted, as he established the fundamentals of his side and stuck with them.
Some of those players include Gareth Bale and Mateo Kovacic, who are set to endure busy transfer windows. Manchester United are interested in both, although they will need to cough up.
According to The Sun, it may be easier for United to land Kovacic, as his mind is made up. The Croatian midfielder has hinted at a move away, saying he needs more game time in order to improve.
"“I believe I’ll play more, whether in Real or somewhere else, now is the time for me to play.” – Mateo Kovacic"
It’s a fair enough conclusion to make, seems as it’s shared with most people. It was made even more respectable when he followed up by refusing to talk about other clubs, as he is “under contract with Real”.
The midfielder will be able to win easy playing time anywhere he goes. He’ll certainly have an easier time than he has at Madrid, at least.
He is a forward-thinking midfielder, who loves to control the midfield, despite his young age. He can get forward well, as well as being no stranger to breaking up opposing play.
The Premier League would be ideal for him, whether it be with United or another suitor. The rough nature of English football is perfectly suited to his physical presence, and one would assume he won’t back out of the odd 50/50 challenge.
He made just 10 starts for Real Madrid in the league this term, coming off the bench on 11 occasions. He is far too good to be a squad player, but that can be said for a number of Madrid’s substitutes.
A move away will do him the world of good, and having learnt from the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, he can certainly benefit a different team.
While it would be sad to see Kovacic not giving a new manager a go next season, it’s understandable. He had a lot of hope when he joined Real Madrid, but that hope has slowly faded over time. I hope he can replicate his immense talent elsewhere.
