Goalkeeper: Guillermo Ochoa
Mexico’s goalkeeper who oddly wears No.8. Nine saves, a clean sheet and a win against Germany is a phenomenal way to begin the competition. A highly rated ‘keeper – in goalkeeping factions. Especially relevant is his excelling four years ago at the Brazil World Cup.

Defence:
Nacho
Five tackles and two interceptions show he is also a keen defender. Because of his fine finish, it is easy to forget. Yet, as an attacker the Spaniard completed four dribbles, hence the hype. However, rival for his spot Dani Carvajal replaced him thereafter.

Jose Gimenez
A Man-of-the-match performance, overshadowing his defensive partner somewhat. At 23-years-old, expect the young player to be sought after following the tournament. Atletico will consequently likely offer him a bigger contract.

Midfield:
Kieran Trippier
At right-midfield against Tunisia, Spurs’ man created the most chances of all players in round one. Six times the Englishman setup his teammates. His transition from right-back is imposing.

Roman Zobnin

Hector Herrera
