Could the Manchester United man be another youngster to fail under Jose Mourinho?
Manchester United is known for being serious when it comes to promoting youth. Throughout the years, a number of young players have thrived at Old Trafford – mainly home grown players, of course.
However, they have done well in keeping up with the times. Perhaps they even learnt something from Sir Alex’s bittersweet rivalry with Arsene Wenger, as they now have two talented French prodigies under their name.
I am of course talking about the dynamic duo of Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial. With the former ageing at 25, and the latter 22, they are definitely pivotal for United heading forward.
However, we all know about Martial’s heated relationship with current boss Jose Mourinho. But it came as a surprise to see Pogba admitting to the public that he too had a falling out with the Portuguese boss, according to ESPN.
The fiery character that is Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho isn’t the kind of person you’d invite over for a cup of tea. He’s quite the stern character, and we have learnt by many stories that he’s hard to get along with.
The likes of Arsene Wenger, Rafa Benitez, Luke Shaw and even Mark Clatternburg have fallen out with Mourinho over the years.

That said, it comes as no surprise to see he had a word or two with Pogba. The Frenchman spoke about his ‘issues’ with ESPN.
Maturity from Paul Pogba
"“There were some small issues with (Mourinho) but they were nothing in the end. Being a substitute, that sort of thing, it helps you to grow. I have to accept it.” – Paul Pogba"

This says a lot about Pogba as a person. His response was very mature and he reassured the media that there is no longer a problem with Mourinho.
It’s quite the contrasting approach to his manager, of course. We all know how fiery Mourinho can be when it comes to speaking with the media, so it’s good to see Pogba knows better.
Whether or not he will leave remains to be seen. He is enduring a good World Cup campaign so far with France, scoring the winning goal against Australia in their opening match.
Clubs like Real Madrid could be interested in him, after being offered the opportunity to sign him. However, it seems like they are yet to budge on the offer and they are happy with what they’ve got.
Next season is a big season for Pogba wherever he ends up. He is entering the prime stages of his career, and after suffering an injury setback this time round, he will look to start off strong.
