Tottenham face big competition in pursuit for Jack Grealish
By Kian Long
Tottenham have been linked with Jack Grealish for quite some time now, but they may feel like their chances are limited.
Tottenham are the only top six side yet to make any transfers. This is due to Daniel Levy’s strict negotiation approach, which can be perceived either way.
That said, they have been linked with Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish for a while, and the move seems to be taking small steps to completion. However, they may regret leaving it too long.
This is because, according to The Sun, Chelsea are also interested in signing Grealish. In a shock twist to the saga, the young Englishman has plenty to consider…
Don’t be fooled by the Champions League argument.

Obviously, when a Champions League and Europa League club lock horns to the signing of a player, the age-old argument will be thrown around. “But Tottenham have the Champions League!”
This doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. I’m certain Jack Grealish, playing in the EFL Championship, isn’t going to lose sleep about playing in the Europa League rather than it’s more prestigious counterpart.
A move to Chelsea is a huge step up in his career, let’s not try to deny that.
The Tottenham move would benefit him more.
That said, the move to Tottenham would almost certainly benefit Grealish more.
Working under Mauricio Pochettino as a young Englishman is a dream come true. He has brought out the best in the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Danny Rose. Grealish will be no exception, and this will be at the back of his mind.
He installs a sense of belief into his players, and makes them feel like every match is worth fighting for. It’s this kind of man-management which could make players, and the English mentality reacts perfectly to this.
John Terry will be in his ear.
Chelsea do have a saboteur, let’s not forget. One of their biggest legends John Terry is playing for the Claret and Blue.
According to the Daily Star, he’s already had an impact on the deal. Should Grealish choose to listen to John Terry, which any young player is inclined to do, then we could see the prodigy join the revolution which Sarri is hoping to achieve.
Do you think Jack Grealish should join Chelsea or Tottenham?
