It’s almost here, the Premier League is returning very soon.
There couldn’t be a better way to kick off the new Premier League campaign than the match-up of Arsenal vs Manchester City. The rejuvenated Arsenal side will look to prove their worth by taking on the holding champions, in a game which will be interesting for every neutral fan.
Unai Emery is building something special at Arsenal, but we all know about the sheer dominance his countryman held with Manchester City last time out.
One key battle to watch during Arsenal vs Manchester City.

When it comes to individual players, there is a wide array of talent of show in this fixture. But when you consider players locking horns, one midfield battle sticks out the most.
And that is David Silva, the ever so talented Spaniard, trying to get past the new Arsenal man Lucas Torreira.
People will be quick to brush this aside as ‘easy’ for Silva, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Torreira is a real hard-hitting destroyer, and he managed to see off the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo at the World Cup.
Silva doesn’t only have his amazing creativity, but his footwork is also exceptional, as you would expect from a Spanish midfielder. He will look to get the better of Torreira, in order to create passes for Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus.
But it’s not going to be easy. Emery will install a sense of belief into Torreira heading in to the match, but it’s not like the Uruguayan will need any encouragement to go out there and boss the midfield.
Last season’s antics can be forgotten about, Arsenal mean serious business this time around.
Pre-season campaigns.
Both players come out of pre-season full of confidence. Lucas Torreira gained his Arsenal debut against Lazio, and he looked impressive despite not setting the world alight. Meanwhile, David Silva had an excellent performance in the Community Shield, with fans quick to remind the world.
While pre-season is never the place to judge how a player’s season will go, there are positive signs for both of these players.
While I’m sure they will have plenty of respect for each other outside of the pitch, fans across the globe can tune in to witness quite the battle.
It’s tough to call who will get the edge, so I’ll leave this one down to you guys. Who do you think will clinch the result in the fixture of Arsenal vs Manchester City?
