Cesar Azpilicueta – 7/10

The Spaniard provided the assist to Alvaro Morata for Chelsea’s second with a scrumptious long ball. That was his seventh since the last season started. He played as wide as possible and stretched Arsenal, thus, leaving gaps which were eventually exploited.

There was not much defensive responsibility and thus, the Spaniard gets a seven out of ten. Azpilicueta’s link up with Alvaro Morata is a thing of beauty as has been pointed out since the Spaniards started playing together.

Antonio Rudiger – 6/10

The German defender looked slightly shaky today. He has been looking flustered whenever he has been asked to play alongside David Luiz. Maybe it’s just an issue regarding chemistry between the two. However, that is not something to worry about for Sarri since it will fix with time. His performances will improve once he starts partnering the Brazilian more often at central defense.

David Luiz – 6/10

Some publications have been extremely harsh towards David Luiz despite the win, but I’d be a little harsh towards the lad. He’s finally playing regularly since Sarri’s appointment and is one of the biggest names at defense in the world.

He held an intelligent offside trap and will soon be back to being best. With competition from Gary Cahill and Andreas Christensen, I see the Brazilian improving shortly.

Marcos Alonso – 9/10

Chelsea’s best player and inarguably their game winner. He scored the third goal which eventually won the match for the Blues. He also provided an assist to Pedro. Alonso did a decent bit to keep Hector Bellerin at bay on the few occasions on which his compatriot looked slightly threatening.
