It’s still early days, but there’s no reason why Arsenal can’t reach the top four by the time May comes round.
Arsenal are beginning to pick up the pieces, after they started their league campaign off poorly. They suffered two losses to Manchester City and Chelsea, which can be forgiven, but now they’re on a three game win streak. After Arsenal’s loss to Chelsea, we looked at their run of fixtures and said it’s important to take advantage of the ease, which is what they seem to be doing.
As long as they keep winning, and their rivals keep dropping points, there’s no reason why they can’t make up for lost ground. The teams who are looking most impressive currently are Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Spurs all share the same points tally, as they make up 6th, 7th and 8th of the Premier League table.
In my opinion, this will pretty much tell the tale of how the table will pan out. It will be Arsenal, United and Spurs who chase the 4th spot, while the other three will make up the top spots. Of the formerly mentioned, Arsenal are more than capable of topping their rivals. All it will take is discipline from Unai Emery to keep up their winning momentum.
Arsenal have shown they have what it takes, they just need to work on their big game frailties. Ultimately, it will all come down to the points picked up in top six clashes, which has never been Arsenal’s strong point.
They showed plenty of promise at Stamford Bridge, but improvements still need to be made. Besides, they can take extra motivation from both United and Spurs messing up on the big stage so far this season.
Spurs have shown their weaknesses, and so have United. Being the man of research Emery is, I wouldn’t put it past him to exploit them. Whatever happens, it’s certainly going to be an interesting race for the top four spots.
Arsenal are quite lucky in a sense. They have an easier chance to qualify for Europe’s most prestigious competition, being in the Europa League. If they are to win the Europa League, then they will achieve instant qualification to the Champions League. Unai Emery, being the specialist he is will have this in mind, but it won’t make him any less motivated to finish in the top four.
Who do you think will claim Champions League qualification this season?
