CDM: Javi Martinez 6/10

Javi Martinez had a very quiet match. His name was barely mentioned in the first half, which could be seen as a good thing for a defensive minded player. He did pick up a bit of a knock near the end of the match, forcing Nico Kovac to sub him off in the 88th minute. The lack of involvement was by no means hurting the team, so having him in the side definitely helped Bayern in the end.

CDM: Renato Sanches 7.5/10

Renato Sanches had two of the most opposite halves of football. The first half was filled with misplaced passes and lost possession that frustrated his teammates and the fans. Then, as the second half kicked off, something was different. Sanches just looked different, and it was obvious that Kovac must have reassured him at the half. The goal he scored was just the cherry on top of a great second half of football for a player that thrives off form.

CAM: James Rodriguez 7/10

Much like Renato Sanches, James Rodriguez also had a lackluster first half. He was playing rather deep in the midfield and was unable to make much headway in the attacking sense. During the second 45, he was pushed further up the field and eventually assisted Sanches on his goal. It was not the dazzling performance many supporters are used to from James, but he certainly got the job done in the midfield.
