Tottenham played some of their best football this season, however, they were unfortunate to receive bad luck late on.

Tottenham played in their third Champions League group stage match of the season, but they are still yet to pick up a win in the competition. They were on track to secure all three points, however a stupid decision from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris set the tone for what was about to be another night to forget for Spurs.

He came out of his box to tackle the Mexican wonder-kid, Hirving Lozano. The referee made up his mind right away, and the Spurs fans instantly became worried as he walked over to the goakeeper and reached for his back pocket. Michel Vorm came on to take up the space between the sticks, but despite getting a good save early into his stint, PSV came up with a fluke goal.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

It’s a shame really, because Spurs were pretty good throughout the match. They did go down initially, but they continued to create chances. Soon after Lozano’s first goal, Lucas Moura continued his impressive goal scoring form, before Harry Kane inevitably had his say in the second half.

Christian Eriksen and his teammates will feel hard done by, as they probably did deserve a win. But that’s the nature of football, one costly mistake and you’re done for.

As always, Twitter was the place to be as a neutral fan. There was plenty of action throughout, and quite a few angry reactions from Spurs fans to their goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

That said, I have done the honours. Here is a compiled list of the best reactions throughout. Sit back and enjoy…

Obviously, the Arsenal fans were quick to have their say.

It didn’t take long for the VAR shouts to be made.

It’s not the first time Spurs have been referred to as liquid packaging.

The Spurs fans are growing tired of the antics from Lloris.

Some even think that Vorm isn’t the answer.
