London derbies are always entertaining. If you’re a Tottenham fan, then this was no different today. They absolutely destroyed Chelsea…
Tottenham hosted Chelsea at Wembley Stadium and they emerged as 3-1 winners. The result was indicative of the performance from Spurs. In fact, it could have been four or even five if things went their way.
Right from the start, Chelsea didn’t look comfortable defending. The likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min were always looking to test their frailties, and test them they did. It was actually Dele Alli who got the opening goal, scoring from a header in true Alli fashion.

It didn’t take long for Harry Kane to double the scoreline. He proved that he is still up there with the world’s best goal scorers, scoring from long-range. He made it look easy and to be honest, he was helped by dreadful defending. Nonetheless, he did what he needed to do, it was superb accuracy!
The first half also consisted of a controversial call from Martin Atkinson. Juan Foyth tackled Eden Hazard from behind but the penalty wasn’t given. It’s tough to call even after watching the replays but if you’re asking me, it should have been a penalty. I’m the last person you should be asking though, I’m no Howard Webb…
The second half marked a masterclass from Son Heung-Min. The attacker who is loved by many proved why that is the case. Turning from Son to Sonaldo in mere seconds, he scored a superb solo goal. He was substituted for precautionary reasons but he deserved the rest after that shift. Well done, Son!
Olivier Giroud scored the last goal of the match late on, it was his first of the season. A trademark header, but it was too little too late. Still, Giroud will never complain about scoring against Tottenham.
As always, Twitter was the place to be (if not Wembley Stadium, of course). Like always in London derbies, the social media site was full of reactions and analysis. Here were some of the main talking points…
Arsenal beat Chelsea 3-0 and Conte switched systems in the game, then stuck with it. False 9 is something Sarri likes, I wonder if he sees it here at Chelsea one day. #TOTCHE #CFC

Could we see Antonio Conte 2.0?
Son just ran away from Jorginho. So baffling to see him playing in the position of the world’s greatest holding player, whilst Kanté plays on the right. 🤷🏻♂️

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Kante is lost under Sarri. This loss should hopefully get more people talking about it.
This Tottenham fan thinks he knows why Kane missed his second chance.
So....why isn't that simulation on Hazard?

A little bit harsh I feel, Hazard had every right to go down. Still, it shows how controversial the decision was!
Eriksen and Lingard are the same age but because one of them dances around on snapchat people think he's a "young talent with potential".

It’s a harsh jab at Lingard, but you can’t help laughing.
I mean, he certainly outperformed the main contender in Hazard today.
What did you make of Tottenham’s display?
