LB: Alex Sandro 8/10

Alex Sandro was once again a dominant presence for Juventus, causing Milan problems on both ends of the field. He made the right side of Milan’s attack a complete non-factor and he constantly went forward to help Juve’s attack try to break down the Milan defense. This was the first time since November that Juventus has had their entire starting defense available and Sandro was a big part of why they were able to get right back to their best.

CB: Leonardo Bonucci 7/10

There wasn’t really anything great about Leonardo Bonucci’s performance in this match, but there also wasn’t anything bad about it either. For him that’s a step in the right direction given how poor his defending has been for stretches of the season. He made a solid defensive contribution to help Juve completely stifle Milan. Hopefully he can keep this up for the foreseeable future.

CB: Giorgio Chiellini 8/10

There isn’t much to be said about Giorgio Chiellini’s performance in this match that hasn’t been said about him for over a decade. He was perfect defensively and likely could’ve played another 180 minutes against Milan without ever looking vulnerable. Juve’s captain is still at his best at 34 and looks as determined as ever to lead Juve to the treble that has eluded them throughout their history.

RB: Joao Cancelo 7.5/10

Juventus fans everywhere rejoiced when they Joao Cancelo returned to the field on Wednesday after missing a month with a knee injury. Cancelo formed an extremely dangerous pairing on the right side of the field with Douglas Costa. He also put on a dominant defensive performance in the match. It was a promising return and should give Juve fans hope that the defense won’t miss a beat while Cancelo returns to form. Juve’s first choice defense hasn’t allowed a goal since the match against Napoli and if the Supercoppa match is any indication, that might not change for a while.
