Real Madrid is still interested in signing Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen but now they will use Gareth Bale as temptation…

Christian Eriksen is quite the creator. He has shown week in, week out, that he is able to produce the killer ball at any moment. However, he is also very able to get on the end of balls himself. These are just some of the reasons why Real Madrid are willing to sign the Denmark international.

According to The Mirror, the Spanish superclub could now try to persuade Tottenham with their former star, Gareth Bale. The Welshman endured some great years at White Hart Lane, where he became a fan favourite of the Spurs faithful.

It’s about time, Solari!

More from Tottenham Hotspur

The first and perhaps biggest winner of this deal is Real Madrid. They have been needing to dispose of Gareth Bale for some time now and since he has failed to hit top form yet again, there’s no better time than this season. He is still worth a lot, so it’s best to cash in.

Christian Eriksen is a great player. He is versatile and only just reaching his peak. He will undeniably be attracted to Real Madrid, despite what many Spurs fans will try to tell you. Anybody would be. Trading some, let’s face it, deadwood, for some exciting talent is a smart idea from Los Blancos, they simply must go ahead.

Welcome home, Gareth?

Despite what many of his appearances this season may suggest, Gareth Bale is still a great player. Spurs fans will know this more than most.

As the Lilywhites aim to challenge the big dogs in the Premier Leag- actually, let me rephrase that, ACTUALLY challenge the big dogs. They will be looking to sign some top quality, so bringing in a legend to end his career will install a sense of belief.

Time to win some silverware, Christian

Eriksen is a great player. I’ve said that a few times now. However, if he were to retire now, would he be looked back on? Nope, absolutely not.

People look back at trophies and trophies only. Is Eriksen going to win many, if any, at Tottenham? Again, absolutely not. Real Madrid, on the other hand, is consistently challenging in Spain and in Europe, despite their downfalls this season. They will be back to winning silverware, which Eriksen will crave should he join.

A return to familiar settings for Bale

What Gareth Bale needs is a change of settings. And as the old saying goes, out with the current, in with the old. I know that’s not how it goes but let me have this one.

Bale knows how to make the Premier League work. He did so with both Southampton and Spurs. There is no reason why he would flop upon a return to Spurs so to me, it seems like a no-brainer.

Next. Kieran Trippier exemplifies Tottenham's biggest problem. dark

Can you think of any reasons why this move shouldn’t go ahead?
