Five players that impressed during the International break

2) Memphis Depay (Netherlands)
Depay once again showed how crucial he is for the Dutch side during their 4-0 win against Belarus. The winger produced a man of the match performance, netting twice before setting up Virgil Van Dijk and Gini Wijnaldum for their goals.
His first goal came after he capitalised on a sloppy back pass, slotting it past the Belarus keeper. Following this he played in Wijnaldum before shortly scoring a penalty that he had earned after a foul from Mikhail Sivakov. Depay’s final contribution came when he whipped in a cross to the back post from the right hand side, where Virgil Van Dijk was lurking. The dutchman headed it home, securing the 3 points for the Dutch.
Depay produced another impressive performance during the 3-2 loss to Germany on Sunday evening. The winger got another goal and assist despite his team losing to a late German winner. The Dutchman impressed despite, so far, having an underwhelming season with Lyon. The winger will hope that he is able continue this form into club action when he returns next week.
Dutch fans will be hoping that their country can get back to winning ways after missing out on the World Cup in 2018 and the Euros in 2016. They face England in June in an eagerly anticipated semi-final clash in the Nations League.
