4) Eden Hazard (Belgium)

Belgian forward Eden Hazard scored two goals on Thursday as the Red Devils began their Euro 2020 qualification campaign. His first goal came on the stroke of half time, where Russian player Yuri Zhirkov fouled the Chelsea man. Hazards penalty was a crucial goal for Belgium as an error from Courtois had let the Russians back into the game. The second goal came late in the game, with Hazard slotting home in the final few minutes to all but secure the three points for the Belgians.

It was on Hazards 100th appearance for Belgium where he added a third goal in two international games. The forward opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a curling effort from inside of the box to break the deadlock. Hazard became the third Belgian player to reach the 100 caps mark after team mates Jan Vertonghen and Axel Witsel.

His three goals during the opening two qualifiers mean that Hazard now has 30 international goals to his name. The victory against Cyprus means that Belgium are now undefeated in their last 12 games against the Cypriots. This record will be something that they will be keen to continue as the qualifiers progress.

With Hazards impressive performances in the opening two games, it meant that Belgium were top of their qualifying group maintaining a 100% record thus far.
