Ashley Young

Young has really struggled in the last few weeks and United simply cannot afford to have him as a starting full-back next season. United extended his contract in February, so it makes sense to keep him for another season before letting him go on a free transfer in 2020. But he should only be used as a back-up.

Verdict: Keep

Diogo Dalot

Dalot was signed last summer and has shown his raw potential, especially going forward. He needs some improving defensively, but he will only get better from here and could well end up being United’s first choice right back for the next ten years.

Verdict: Keep

Luke Shaw

Shaw has been one of United’s most consistent performers this season. And while he is prone to making errors defensively, the England international certainly offers a lot to this United team. He has a contract until 2023 and will be the club’s starting left-back next season.

Verdict: Keep

Matteo Darmian

Darmian has hardly been used this season and seems to be ready to return to Italy. He has struggled to adapt to life in England and after failing to offload him last summer, the club must sell him in the upcoming transfer window.

Verdict: Sell

Antonio Valencia

Manchester United have already confirmed that Valencia will not be offered a new deal and will leave the club once his contract expires in the summer. He has been a great servant to the club, but its time to move on.

Verdict: Leaves on a free
