Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes is a player who is being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United, and he would be quite an exciting addition to their to midfield. The Portuguese international is coming off the back of an incredible campaign with Sporting Lisbon where he scored 32 goals and assisted a further 18 in 52 matches across all competitions.

Now, the Premier League is a different beast when compared to the Primeira Liga. But Bruno Fernandes has what it takes to be successful at a club like Manchester United. He showed that he is capable of playing on the highest level with his assertive performances in Portugal’s UEFA Nations League win.

Fernandes is an attack minded midfielder who can also play the number ten role and loves to get forward with the ball at his field. Like Pogba, Fernandes likes to control the game, make things happen and create chances for his teammates, while also having an eye for goal himself. He also reads the game well, has excellent composure and knows how to position himself without the ball at his feet, which something United lack in their midfield.

Fernandes would also bring some much-needed leadership skills to the Manchester United side, having led Sporting Lisbon this season. The former Udinese man is still only 24 and has yet to reach his prime. While other clubs are interested in signing him, a move to Manchester United at this stage of his career would certainly be too good to turn down.
