Tottenham’s bid for wantaway Juventus star Paulo Dybala has been rejected by the Bianconeri…

The rumor mill surrounding the English Premier League teams is about to get even more intense as the transfer deadline day approaches. With the 2019-20 season set to begin in two weeks, English clubs have a race against time in order to get their transfer deals done in time. Few clubs are making desperate last attempt bid for players while others are closing in on negotiations.

One such team that has made a late effort to try and sign another star player is Tottenham Hotspurs. The London club has reportedly submitted an opening bid of  €50 million for Juventus forward Paulo Dybala.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

As reported by beIN Sports back in May, Dybala’s brother had said that the Argentine wants to leave Turin and that he isn’t happy at the club. This has led to the forward being linked to multiple clubs across Europe.

Recently, the Juventus no.10 seems to have attracted interests from Manchester United, Inter Milan, Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham Hotspurs, with the Spurs already making the move to sign the player.

The Times reports that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has assured manager Mauricio Pochettino that he will support him financially in the transfer market following Tottenham’s extension of a shirt sponsorship deal with AIA worth £35 million a year for another eight years.

This deal will fetch the Spurs an additional £45 million a year and is the second biggest deal in the Premier League. The London club can use some of the money from this deal to finance a move for Dybala.

With the arrival of Tanguy Ndombele for £54 million from Olympique Lyon, Spurs want to add another big name signing to their squad. Football Italia reports that Tottenham submitted an opening bid of  €50 million for Dybala that Juventus rejected. With Juventus valuating Dybala t a staggering  €90 million, Tottenham’s bid falls short of  €40 million.

However, the Spurs reportedly have no issues in shelling out more for the Argentine. Tottenham chairman Levy is a tough negotiator and doesn’t seem to spend much, but this time things look to be different.

After just spending a huge chunk on building a new stadium, Levy looks set to spend big to add another big name signing to the Spurs roster which means that the likeliness for Spurs to submit an increased bid for Paulo Dybala seems to be very high, but will it be enough to convince the Turin club to let go off the Argentine?

Tottenham seems to be determined to shell out money to sign Dybala but will they spend enough to match Juventus’ valuation of the player?
