2. Suso

Club: AC Milan

Position: Attacking Midfielder

The 25-year-old joined Liverpool as a fresh-faced 17-year-old in 2010. He excelled in Liverpool’s youth teams and was given a short spell to impress in the first team two years later featuring 20 times for Brendan Rodgers’ side during the 2012/13 season.

He failed to make an impression and was shipped out on loan the next season to LA Liga side Almeria. Suso impressed on loan but never got a proper look in at Liverpool the next season despite netting in a League Cup tie against Middlesbrough.

He left for Milan in January 2015 and after an impressive loan spell at Genoa, the tricky Spanish midfielder has established himself as one of Milan’s best players in the last three seasons. All together Suso has scored 23 goals and gave out 33 assists in the past three seasons with the club.

His creative flair and excellent shooting range has become a potent threat for Milan in Serie A and it is a trait which Liverpool may have utilised had they kept hold of the Spaniard. With his market value at £29.7m according to Transfermarkt, Liverpool will surely regret Suso’s selling fee of just £1.17m to Milan.
