2. Lucien Agoume

(France)

Position: CM

Club: Inter Milan

A tall and powerful central midfielder, Agoume will be a key player for the French during the tournament as they hope to improve their semi-final performance from the European Championships.

Agoume featured sporadically for FC Sochaux in Ligue Two last season making 15 appearances in the senior side at just 16 years of age and earned himself rave reviews in the process attracting interest from some of the biggest giants of world football including Barcelona and Real Madrid. He never looked out of place playing against senior players and often helped to drive the struggling Sochaux’s attack.

An industrious player, Agoume has great dynamism and a clever eye for a pass. He was snapped up by Inter Milan this summer despite a whole host of interest including the above mentioned Barcelona and Real Madrid and Agoume will be hoping to make a mark for himself in Italy.

Agoume has been likened to his compatriot Paul Pogba in terms of his style of play and it’s easy to see why, he makes great long strides and dribbles just like the Manchester United midfielder and has the ability to take control of the game. Just like his compatriot he also now finds himself in Italy and hoping to make a mark in the game.

Agoume is definitely one to watch, perhaps he will be Paul Pogba’s successor in the French national team. Only time will tell.
