3. Lautaro Martinez

The Argentinian forward is quite a unique all round attacker. Martinez has great control, the ball seems to glue onto his feet and his first touch is exemplary which is crucial to the way he often skips past defenders and lifts the ball over them.

Martinez’s finishing is uncanny too, with his pace and ability to curve the ball into the back of the net, in some aspects he is reminiscent of a young Luis Suarez. He has the gritty South American fighting spirit too with the never say die attitude and does not shy away from strong physical battles.

It is easy to see why Barcelona see Lautaro Martinez as the perfect replacement for Luis Suarez. Martinez is probably the striker who is of Suarez’s ilk the most on this list and who is the best suited for Barcelona. Lautaro Martinez is a typical Barcelona player thanks to his technical abilities and his excellent passing range.

Martinez could easily fit into the Catalans’ tiki-taka style of play and link up with the likes of Messi and Griezmann on the wings.

He is currently on great form having scored 5 goals in 5 games in the Champions League for Inter Milan and having already netted 8 goals in 15 in Serie A. Martinez is nicknamed the bull for his explosive style of play and he has certainly lived up to that name this season with his fiery spirit on the pitch.

Barca and Ernesto Valverde will have to pay a hefty price for Martinez’s services but it may well be worth it in the long run. Still just 22 years of age the Argentinian forward has all the tools to go very far in the game.
