5 most memorable Juventus moments so far this season

Douglas Costa’s incredible run vs Lokomotiv Moscow
The story of Douglas Costa’s highlight for the season is very similar to Dybala’s first entry on this list. Juve needed a win to stay on top of the group, but looked destined to get a draw at best. They were fortunate to have even scored their first goal in this match as the Lokomotiv keeper dropped Cristiano Ronaldo’s free kick through his own legs, making it too easy for Aaron Ramsey to tap it home and open the scoring. However, Lokomotiv would get an equalizer before halftime and scoring a second goal wouldn’t be quite so easy for Juve.
Needing a goal to advance to the knockout stages after just 4 matches, Juve brought Costa on late in the second half hoping he could spark the attack. Instead, he became a one man show in stoppage time. He made an incredible run from the left wing, played a pass to Gonzalo Higuain, which he beautifully returned, and scored one of the most impressive goals of the season, beating a large portion of Lokomotiv’s defense in the process.
This goal had everything you look for in a top moment for the season. It took an unbelievably high level of skill, was aesthetically pleasing, and was very meaningful for Juve as it sent them through to the Champions League round of 16. It also gave Juve fans a taste of just how dangerous the team’s attack can be when all of their options are healthy. Unfortunately, Costa hasn’t made an impact like this since, but it was still a thrilling moment in the first half of the season.
