LWB: Cristiano Biraghi 6.5/10

Cristiano Biraghi played really well for most of this match. However, he had one key lapse that could have been costly for Inter. After a ball was cleared, Biraghi switched off, along with much of the rest of the defense. The problem for Biraghi is that his momentary lapse allowed Jose Callejon to get lose on the wing, where he had plenty of space to play his pass in to Arkadiusz Milik for Napoli’s lone goal. Outside of that moment, he played well on both ends of the field. He was strong defensively and got himself involved in the attack as well. I don’t know if his spot in the starting lineup will be safe once Kwadwo Asamoah is healthy, but the way he played outside of his one poor moment should help him make a case to stick around.

RWB: Antonio Candreva 6/10

As unsurprising as it was that Samir Handanovic played well, it is equally unsurprising that Antonio Candreva wasn’t very good. He reminds me a lot of some of Juve’s midfielders. He isn’t the same player he used to be and just doesn’t seem to fit with the squad as a whole. He’s mostly been a boom-or-bust type player this season, either proving a goal or assist or not very much at all. Unfortunately, this match definitely falls under option 2. I’m sure Inter fans are already counting down the days until Danilo D’Ambrosio can reclaim this spot.
