Right-back: Trent Alexander-Arnold

I can’t really see any reason why Jurgen Klopp would bench Trent Alexander-Arnold. The youngster has plenty of fitness and he will take as much game time as he can get at this stage in his career.

He is a very attack-minded full-back and this will be shown against Wolves. Although, he may need to help out from a defensive point of view at times because Wolves have proven they have a frightening attack. Still, Alexander-Arnold will feel confident flurrying forward that he can get back if need be.

Centre back: Virgil van Dijk

I mean, this is the most obvious choice, right? Especially after his goal against Manchester United, many Liverpool fans regard the Dutch as the best defender in the world and rightly so. If anyone is to stop Raul Jimenez from adding to his tally, it’s van Dijk. He will also be keen to prevent Adama Traore from having a dribble of the ball, as he’s shown he’s accustomed to this season.

Centre back: Joe Gomez

This was a tough decision. The Sports Mole reported that Dejan Lovren is to undergo a fitness test ahead of this match but I can’t see him getting in ahead of Gomez. Also, Matip is looking to make his comeback after he featured on the bench against Manchester United but again, I’m confident Klopp will opt for Joe Gomez in this match.

Left-back: Andrew Robertson

Robertson is different gravy. You could get him to run a marathon and he would ask to run another one.

Robertson can often be found in the attacking third but he’ll face one of his toughest tests this season as he pairs up against Adama Traore. That said, Klopp won’t opt for anyone but Robertson at left-back, naturally.
