Another option for Barcelona would be to pursue an Arsenal capt- Hold on a second, we’ve heard that before, haven’t we?!

In all seriousness, Aubameyang would be the most ideal option for Barcelona but it’s a case of whether or not they are willing to spend the necessary funds. He is getting on a bit in his career but he is still playing at the highest magnitude in the Premier League and he seems to be scoring week in, week out.

Aubameyang’s game relies on pace and the ability to get in behind defenders. This would serve him well in La Liga, especially with all the creativity Barca possess in midfield. Aubameyang would come in and stretch the opposition’s defence to the point where they are exploitable and he will bag goals for fun.

However, Auba is known to bring with him a fiery attitude. The Gunners have seen glimpses of it this season and the Dortmund fans will be the first to tell you about his temper. He even got a red card in his most recent Premier League match while captaining the Arsenal side.

He would even challenge Suarez for game time when he comes back so if healthy competition and a wide array of goals are what the board are after, then they will need to cough up the funds. Arsenal are in a position of need so they won’t sell their main talisman for cheap.
