Serge Aurier (6/10)

It was a typical Aurier performance, as he put in a hard working shift caused a lot of problems going forward. But he also made some careless decisions, and gave away an unnecessary penalty in the first half. Luckily for him, Lloris stepped up to make the save. But Aurier needs to work on his defensive discipline if he wants to be Tottenham’s starting right back next season.

Toby Alderweireld (8/10)

Alderweireld was excellent and put in a commanding shift at centre-back for Tottenham. He dealt with everything that City threw his way, and also made an important goal-line clearance early in the second half. The Belgian international also played some outstanding long balls to launch attacks for his side.

Davinson Sanchez (6/10)

Like Aurier, Sanchez was also careless and clumsy at times, especially in the first half. He gave the ball away in dangerous areas trying to play out from the back on a couple of occasions. But he regained his composure soon after, and made some important tackles and clearances for his side. He nearly took away Tottenham’s clean-sheet when he headed the ball onto his own bar in the closing stages of the game.

Japhet Tanganga (7.5/10)

Tanganga looks right at home in the Premier League, and he showed his quality once again today. He dealt with Mahrez really well, and stopped the winger in his tracks on a number of occasions. He also used his blistering pace to make some crucial forward runs and defensive recoveries for his side. Tanganga won the majority of his duels and also made some important tackles and interceptions for his side.
