Giovani Lo Celso (7/10)

After a rough start, Lo Celso has become one of Tottenham’s most important players in recent weeks. While he wasn’t able to showcase the creative side of his game as much today, the Argentinian still showed great aggression and put a shift in for his team. He broke up a number of Manchester City attacks and was always looking to find the forward pass and release the attacking players.

He is quickly proving his doubters wrong, and is the perfect replacement for Christian Eriksen. At 48 million euros, he seems like a real bargain for Tottenham.

Harry Winks (7.5/10)

Winks showed his importance to this Tottenham team today with a hard working and industrious display in the middle of the park. He battled hard, did all the dirty work and made some very important recoveries for his side, despite not having much of the ball.

The Englishman also made some important forward runs and was responsible for the game changing moment, when he was fouled by Oleksandr Zinchenko while making a darting run on the counter attack.

Dele Alli (6/10)

Alli was on the end of a crunching Raheem Sterling tackle in the first half, and was far from his best today. With Manchester City enjoying the majority of the possession, he wasn’t able to make much of an impact going forward. The Spurs number ten was kept quiet by the Manchester City defence, forcing him to get into deeper positions.

But he kept his discipline and helped out defensively, before being replaced by Tanguy Ndombele with just over 20 minutes to go.
