LB: Alex Sandro

It’s been a while since Juventus has even had the option to rest Alex Sandro because Mattia De Sciglio has been injured yet again. For this match, they at least have the option to rest him, but it’s still not going to happen. Sandro is more likely to get his rest day against Brescia next week. Hopefully against Verona he can play aggressively in the attacking end like he did against Fiorentina.

CB: Leonardo Bonucci

Leonardo Bonucci made it really difficult for any of his teammates to impress on the defensive end on Saturday because he just about did everything by himself. It was yet another example of just how dominant Bonucci has been for Juve this season and has helped the squad overcome Chiellini’s injury. He has also secured this spot even with Chiellini supposedly getting ready to return at the end of the month. He’ll lose the captain’s armband at that point, but he certainly won’t stop being a leader if the way he’s stepped up so far this season is any indication.

CB: Matthijs de Ligt

Matthijs de Ligt had an easy day on the defensive end of the field against Fiorentina, but was able to make his presence felt on the attacking end. He perfectly headed home a Paulo Dybala corner to give Juve their 3rd goal of the match. He looks like he’s having a good time in Torino.

RB: Juan Cuadrado

Juve’s right back situation certainly isn’t ideal, but Juan Cuadrado was at least able to influence the match from this spot against his former club, Fiorentina. He’ll definitely be starting again when Juventus takes on Verona because Danilo still isn’t available. If he can play like he did against Fiorentina it should go a long way toward Juve breaking through a stout Verona defense.
