CAM: Aaron Ramsey

Maurizio Sarri had started to use a 4-3-3 formation and use Douglas Costa on the wing instead of playing an attacking midfielder, but an injury that will seemingly keep Costa out for the rest of this month should force Sarri to return to the formation he’s used most of the season. That works out really well for Aaron Ramsey because he is really the only option to occupy this spot in the 4-3-1-2. He hasn’t been all that impressive in the role yet, but the is still some hope that he can bring

quality to the position and bolster an inconsistent attack. He has a few weeks to prove that he deserves a starting spot, but if he doesn’t show some improvement then he could spend a lot of time on the bench for the last couple months of the season.

ST: Paulo Dybala

For some reason, it’s been almost a month since the last time we saw Paulo Dybala started as a striker, but that should change on Thursday. Gonzalo Higuain hasn’t been particularly impressive since the winter break and Dybala has already proved this season how important he is to the success of this squad. He needs to be inserted back into the lineup for this match against one of the teams he’s had his most success against. He’s scored 8 goals and assisted 2 more in 14 appearances against Milan and Juve might need him to add to that tally if they’re going to start this semifinal off on the right foot.

ST: Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo remains on a tear right now even if his teammates haven’t exactly lived up to his standards recently. He has scored in each of his last 7 appearances in all competitions and has scored 17 goals in his last 13 appearances. He has been one of the few bright spots in the Juve lineup over the last couple of weeks and might need another moment of brilliance in this match to give Juve an advantage heading into the second leg of this semifinal. It’s given at this point that we’ll get a good performance out of Ronaldo on Thursday. Let’s just hope his teammates step up too.
