2. Timo Werner (RB Leipzig)

Timo Werner has been in stunning form for Leipzig this season.

The German forward trails only Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga scoring charts, with 20 goals from just 21 starts. While his talent has always been apparent, Werner has developed a lethal edge in front of goal this season for Leipzig.

The 23-year-old’s blistering pace, strength, dribbling and finishing skills would make him a perfect fit for United. He’s the kind of player that United need Martial to be right now, but the Frenchman has struggled with injury issues recently, and is clearly more comfortable in a wide left position.

Rashford is similar in many respects to Werner, and the former Stuttgart man basically offers the same qualities in a center-forward position. Considering how clinical Rashford has been this season, the 22-year-old can only benefit from having a like-minded player alongside him.

Werner is bound to attract the attention of several teams though. Chelsea and Liverpool are believed to be front-runners at the moment, so United will have to seal Champions League qualification if they are to have a chance of signing him.

He’ll also be significantly more expensive than Jimenez, but if his performances are anything to go by, he’ll be worth every single penny.
