1. Ciro Immobile

Lazio’s Immobile currently leads the race for the European Golden Shoe ahead of Ronaldo, Messi and Lewandowski. There are few players more in-form than him in Europe at the moment.

Immobile has 25 goals and 6 assists in 23 matches for Lazio. The Roman club is in fine form under Simone Inzaghi, and trails leaders Inter Milan by just 1 point.

While Immobile is almost as old as Ighalo (he turns 30 soon), there’s no doubt that he would massively improve United. The Red Devils’ recent transfer plans have involved signing younger players who can be developed, but the Italian is so good that an exception should be made for him.

Additionally, he would be a great mentor for Mason Greenwood. The 18-year-old is being honed to take over as United’s long-term number 9.

Next. Hakim Ziyech will thrive at Stamford Bridge. dark

Signing someone like Immobile would be a great solution for United’s problems over the next 3 to 4 years, while also giving Greenwood the first team opportunities that someone like Werner or Jimenez would block.
