Arsenal 3-2 Everton: 5 talking points – Saka confirms a permanent place

4. Arsenal can’t afford to drop Bukayo Saka
Arteta got the team sheet mostly right. He needed to rest Saka since the action has been coming in thick and fast for the youngster and the last thing he would want is an injury.
However, as the old saying goes, absence really does make the heart grow fonder. Arsenal fans felt this when they watched Sead Kolasinac start today’s match. He was simply woeful and cost Arsenal the first goal.
As soon as Saka came on to replace him, the youngster created two chances in quick succession. His cross to Nketiah was one that most full-backs would be proud of and this set Arsenal on the right track.

5. The best thing Arsenal did was selling Iwobi
If the Gunners can take any reassurance from today’s game, it will be that Alex Iwobi hasn’t improved. Like, not even one bit. He’s still dreadful.
Many thought that Iwobi was sold too soon but his performance or lack of performance proves that it wasn’t the club’s fault he wasn’t progressing.
Many Everton fans would agree that he doesn’t deserve to be starting. Sounds all too familiar doesn’t it, Arsenal fans?
