CM: Rodrigo Bentancur

Rodrigo Bentancur had been playing very well over the last few weeks, but that completely changed on Wednesday. He just wasn’t able to get anything going in the midfield and seemed sluggish for most of the match on the attacking half of the field.

He was fine defensively, but Juve really needs somebody to advance the ball against opposing defenses. Against Inter, they’ll need everybody in this midfield to be at their absolute best in this match and for Bentancur, that will mean he needs to be a lot better than he was against Lyon.

CM: Miralem Pjanic

It gets harder every week to actually feel confident about Miralem Pjanic in Juve’s starting lineup. His skillset should make him indispensable for Juventus, but he hasn’t been able to bring anything special out of the squad.

The Pjanic we’ve gotten for the last year and a half hasn’t looked anything like the one that consistent dazzled fans at Roma and early in his Juve career.

He needs to find a way to return to that level or this prediction could stop being the guarantee it has been for the last few years.

Hopefully, that starts against Inter because if we get the bland Pjanic we’ve seen for most of the season then this Scudetto race could get a lot tougher on Sunday.

CM: Aaron Ramsey

I believe that Sarri got this decision wrong on Wednesday and it proved costly for Juventus. Aaron Ramsey should have been included in the starting lineup to give Juve more going forward than Adrien Rabiot was able to provide.

Instead, he was used as a sub late in the match and was able to improve the attack even though he wasn’t able to provide the breakthrough Juve needed. Juve needs to be strong from the start of this match and that means starting Aaron Ramsey.
