LB: Alex Sandro

Alex Sandro has been more involved in the attack in recent matches and I believe that means we are seeing the best version of Sandro right now.

His defensive contribution has been steady throughout the year and now he has regained this other facet of his game. I hope we get to see this come out some more on Wednesday to keep the pressure on AC Milan.

CB: Giorgio Chiellini

I thought Juventus would give Giorgio Chiellini the start over the weekend and the fact that the team got the day off instead should mean that Chiellini starts this match.

He got an extra few days to continue returning to form and he is going to be important for Juve. If they can keep a clean sheet in this match then they advance.

Their best chance for that to happen is with Chiellini on the field. This also gives Matthijs de Ligt some more time to recover from the head injury he suffered against Lyon.

CB: Leonardo Bonucci

Chiellini is back to once again take over as captain, but it is still Leonardo Bonucci who is going to need to lead the team while they’re on the field. He will likely need to cover a bit for Chiellini while he is still regaining form, but I think he is up to the task.

Bonucci has been great all year and getting him back together with Chiellini should only get him to play better.

RB: Danilo

My expectations still aren’t very high for Danilo, but there is no denying that this is his job to lose right now. He hasn’t been bad in his recent starts, but he just doesn’t do anything impressive.

However, there must be something that Real Madrid, Man City, and Juve have all seen in him in recent years. Hopefully whatever that is becomes apparent soon.
