The summer transfer window is fast approaching and there are three main areas which Arsenal needs to fix…

Firstly, I must put this out there. It’s bound to be a transfer market like no other for Arsenal. We all know about the Coronavirus outbreak but it’s bound to have some implications on the economic situation of the transfer window. I know, boring, right? Don’t worry, that’s out of the way now.

Here are the three main areas to address for Arsenal this summer…

3. Disposing of the deadwood players

I’m sure you and I are on the same track with players that need to be sold. It’s not rocket science, after all. If there are players that don’t fit with Mikel Arteta‘s system, the priority this summer should be to sell them.

I’m talking about the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mohamed Elneny; players that are simply surplus to requirements and where money can be made from their sale. I produced a list of the 5 players I want to be sold, which can be read here. However, at the end of the day, it’s entirely down to Arteta.

After all, money needs to be raised somehow if we are to pave a way in this uncertain transfer window, and with the instalment of Nicolas Pepe‘s hefty fee pending, it’s time to chip away the deadwood.
