2. Granit Xhaka

I recently dubbed Granit Xhaka as the most improved player for Arsenal this season and I stand by this claim. With Willian arriving at the club, the Swiss international will only continue to improve, I’m certain of it.

This is because it looks like Arteta will use Willan as an attacking midfielder, a position which he is familiar with and is actually his favoured role. With this, it’ll add a nice touch to the Arsenal midfield that Xhaka will benefit from.

See, Xhaka has looked incredible with Dani Ceballos in the starting XI this season because the Spaniard has been pivotal to bringing the ball forward and providing creativity. This allows Xhaka to be freed of this onus and able to focus on what he does best; dictating the play in the midfield.

It looks likely that Dani Ceballos will be playing for Real Madrid again next season, with Arsenal not having the funds to sign him permanently. Willian would be a nice replacement for Dani Ceballos, who has performed exceptionally well since project restart.
