The 2026 World Cup group stage draw took place at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC on Friday afternoon.
There were many, many musical acts and celebrities putting on a show, as well as the not at all controversial FIFA peace prize being presented to Donald Trump, but the draw did eventually take place after 90 minutes of waiting.
42 nations have already qualified for next summer's tournament, with a further 22 still hopeful of doing so through various play-offs, so here is the complete group stage draw.

What happens now that the World Cup draw is concluded?
The full match schedule will be released by FIFA at noon (ET) and 5pm (GMT) on Saturday. This will include venues and kick off times for all matches.
The play-offs takes place on 26 and 31 March 2026, after which all 12 groups will be officially finalised.
