Fair to say, Nottingham Forest had the better of Brighton last season, beating them 7-0 at the City Ground in February, before ousting them from the FA Cup on penalties a month later.
The Garibaldi Reds have won three of their last four home games against Brighton, while the Seagulls have only won on the banks of the River Trent on four occasions in 17 attempts since 1979.
Nottingham Forest vs Brighton preview
This week has been pretty perfect from a Nottingham Forest perspective, so can they cap it off with another win? On Thursday night, in a repeat of the 1979 European Cup Final, the Garibaldi Reds swatted aside Malmö 3-0 at home; Ryan Yates, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Nikola Milenković all on target. This takes their points tally to eight from five Europa League games, moving up to 16th in the table, looking good to progress, with Utrecht, Braga and Ferencváros their remaining opponents.

Meantime, in the Premier League, Sean Dyche's side have collected seven points out of a possible nine in November, thereby climbing out of the relegation zone. Last weekend, the Tricky Trees enjoyed one of their more memorable victories of modern times, demolishing Liverpool at Anfield, with Murillo, Nicolò Savona and Morgan Gibbs-White all on target on Merseyside. Having previously drawn with Manchester United and then beaten Leeds at home, Forest now find themselves 16th, a point clear of the relegation zone, looking to continue their ascent up the table with another win here.
Brighton & Hove Albion supporters meantime may be looking at their Forest counterparts currently enjoying a European tour with envy, although their side are on course to get back into Europe themselves. Last weekend, Fabian Hürzeler's side fought back from a goal down to defeat Brentford in the pouring rain. Danny Welbeck equalised and then Jack Hinshelwood lashed home the winner, but Bart Verbruggen was the hero, saving an Igor Thiago spot-kick right at the end of stoppage time.

So, having struggled for consistency earlier in the campaign, the Seagulls are now unbeaten in three, losing just one of their last eight, still yet to taste defeat in Sussex, winning three on the spin at home. On the road, Brighton's only league victory of the campaign to date came at Chelsea, but can the Albion change that fact when they venture to the East Midlands on Sunday?

Nottingham Forest team news
Sean Dyche remains without Ola Aina, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Douglas Luiz, Dilane Bakwa, Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi, but still has plenty of options from which to choose.
He heavily rotated against Malmö, with back-up goalkeeper John Victor, Zach Abbott, Nicolás Domínguez, James McAtee and scorer Arnaud Kalimuendo among those coming in.

Here though, all the regulars will return, potentially including Omari Hutchinson, who was inexplicably left out of the UEFA squad before Dyche arrived. Neco Williams will sit out Wednesday's trip to Wolves if booked, which probably isn't the worst game to sit out.
Nottingham Forest predicted lineup vs Brighton & Hove Albion: (4-3-3): Sels; Savona, Milenković, Murillo, Williams; Domínguez, Anderson, Sangaré; Ndoye, Gibbs-White, Igor Jesus.
Nottingham Forest player to watch vs Brighton
Morgan Gibbs-White netted in a third successive Premier League appearance last weekend, scoring more times against Brighton than any other club in his career, on target all three times they've visited the City Ground since he signed, so can he keep that streak going?
Brighton team news
Fabian Hürzeler travels without Adam Webster, James MIlner, Tommy Watson, Kaoru Mitoma and Solly March, but Jack Hinshelwood marked his first appearance since 13 September due to injury by firing in the winner against Brentford.

Summer signing Olivier Boscagli started in defence last weekend, chosen over Lewis Dunk, albeit he was hooked at half time, so it'll be interesting to see if that is the case again. A caution for Carlos Baleba would see him sit out Wednesday's meeting with Aston Villa.
Brighton & Hove Albion predicted lineup vs Nottingham Forest: (4-3-3): Verbruggen; Wieffer, Dunk, van Hecke, Kadıoğlu; Baleba, Ayari, Minteh, Georginio, Gómez; Welbeck.
Brighton player to watch vs Nottingham Forest
Danny Welbeck bagged his 84th Premier League goal a week ago, netting against 26 different opponents in the competition, one of which is Forest, so will his scoring spree continue?
Nottingham Forest vs Brighton prediction
These two teams are pretty evenly matched, so we're predicting a score draw that will leave both and neither satisfied in equal measure: Nottingham Forest 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion.
