Rumor or not, the possibility of De Gea leaving ManU is still very real. Now that the idea is in your head, let’s dive into the move if it does happen and which club would benefit more from the trade.

Madrid loses arguably their second best attacker behind Cristiano Ronaldo. Bale boasts the second most goals scored for Madrid this season, even though he only has 10 goals this season, he still is an important part of the attack.

Aside from Bale, Real Madrid host many big names that could easily continue to contribute for the club if Bale departs. James Rodriguez and Karim Benzema are just two names, but both are huge players for Madrid and in the soccer world.

Why is Real Madrid even looking at other goalkeepers? The club has three on the roster, Iker Casillas, Keylor Navas and Fernando Pacheco. If De Gea comes to Madrid, will he even see the field?

If De Gea leave Manchester United, the goalkeeper spot likely gets filled by Victor Valdes, Anderes Lindegaard or Ben Amos. Valdes probably will become the starter, but anything is possible.

In terms of offense, ManU would benefit greatly from Bale coming to Old Trafford. The club’s two leading scorers, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney both have eight games a piece this season. If you remember correctly, Bale has 10 at Madrid.

United need a huge injection of offense and Bale would provide that much needed spark to keep United in the hunt for an EPL Title.
