Antoine Griezmann – Atletico Madrid

Sometimes in the European transfer market, a club must pay much more than they originally had planned to acquire a player that they simply must have. Arsenal and Arsene Wenger may find themselves in this very type of scenario if they are to sign Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann this coming summer.

One of the great goal-scoring talents anywhere in the footballing world, the 25-year-old would instantly improve the Gunners’ line-up.

The French striker appears ready to possibly move on from Los Rojiblancos, and the costs of the club moving into a new stadium next season may end up forcing Atletico’s hand in the sale. But Manchester United have reasons to feel confident that Griezmann will choose to play at Old Trafford instead.

Griezmann’s close relationship with France team-mate and current United midfielder Paul Pogba will certainly have a great influence as final decisions take place in the coming months. The striker’s proven ability to find the back of the net and improve talent around him is an opportunity that both the Red Devils and the Gunners will be eager to add.
