5. Harry Kane

It’s amazing to me that there’s still a debate as to whether or not Harry Kane is a world-class striker. Unless your definition of world-class is that you must be the best striker on the planet, the answer is a resounding yes.

More from Tottenham Hotspur

Even Kane admits he’s in the “form of his life” at the moment. That form has seen him torch Premier League opponents throughout the month of September. The English striker carried his form into international play with a crucial stoppage time goal against Slovenia this week.

Somehow, critics still exist. Every time Kane scores a goal they pipe up on social media that he needs to find a way to do it in some other competition or against some other opponent. These people all need to get a life. Kane’s proven he can score goals against any opponent during any competition.

Fortunately, these vocal critics are significantly outnumbered by rational football observers who recognize Kane’s brilliance. That’s why he checks in at number five instead of somewhere higher on the list.
