5) Kylian Mbappé (France)

French wonderkid Kylian Mbappé scored the fourth goal in the French thrashing of Moldova on Friday. Mbappe, who is still only 20 years old has now scored 12 goals for the French international side, in only 30 games. The youngster is likely to have at least another decade of international football ahead of him, potentially even longer, meaning that there is all possibility that he could become the all time leading goal scorer for French.

It was during the 4-0 domination of Iceland on Monday evening where Mbappe really stole the headlines, the PSG winger created two goals and scored another himself. For the first goal, Mbappe beautifully picked out Barcelona centre back Samuel Umtiti who headed home to give the French the lead. Shortly after the second half began, striker Antoine Griezmann threaded the youngster in with a very accurate through ball, enabling Mbappe to slot home from 8 yards out.

Following that, it was Mbappe’s turn to repay the favour for Griezmann where he cleverly provided a back heeled assist enabling Griezmann to find the back of the net with a cheeky dink over the keeper.

French fans were pleased to see Mbappe continue his red-hot club form into the international fixtures. He currently leads the Ligue 1 top scorers chart on 26 goals, a massive nine ahead of the nearest rival Nicolas Pepe of Lille. The results from these qualifiers mean that France are top of their group, maintaining a 100% record so far.
