Kepa Arrizabalaga (5.5/10)

Kepa did not have a save to make all game, as Arsenal did not have a shot in the first 60 minutes. But he didn’t stand much of a chance with Martinelli’s goal, or with Bellerin’s late equaliser. He also had some nervy moments early on, and his performance will not have done much to restore Frank Lampard’s confidence in him.

César Azpilicueta (7/10)

The Chelsea captain put in another solid display, and kept Martinelli at bay for the majority of the game. He didn’t offer much going forward, but ended up being at the right place to poke home what he thought was Chelsea’s winner.

Antonio Rüdiger (5.5/10)

Rüdiger was strong in the air won the majority of his duels. He also made sure that Arsenal did not have too many chances to test Kepa. But he just stood there instead of blocking Bellerin’s shot for Arsenal’s second goal.

Andreas Christensen (6/10)

Christensen had a decent game and did a solid job of defending against Lacazette. With Arsenal lacking much of an attacking threat, he also distributed the ball well at times and dealt with the pressure really well. He also had an excellent chance in the first half, but headed wide from a corner.

Emerson Palmieri (5/10)

Emerson had a good game going forward, and created a game high five chances. But he seemed to be lacking discipline defensively. He struggled against Pepe at times, and then failed to close down Bellerin, allowing him way too much space and time to take on a shot and score Arsenal’s equaliser.
