Hector Bellerin – 8/10

Bellerin was the best player on the pitch as he put in an excellent defensive display, showing his leadership qualities. He was relentless in his pressing of the incoming Burnley attackers and he didn’t allow them any time and space, winning back possession for his side at pivotal moments of the match. The result wasn’t convincing, but Bellerin certainly was.

David Luiz – 6/10

It was bound to be a hostile environment at Turf Moor because the Burnley fans aren’t the friendliest when it comes to Luiz, due to the comments the Brazil international made about them playing “anti-football” last season. Certainly, it wasn’t anti-football this time around, as Luiz was pinned in his own half and forced to deal with a flurry of Burnley attacks at times.

He did play a few good balls forward in the first half, one in particular to Aubameyang who squandered the chance. But overall, his passing wasn’t quite up to scratch.

Shkodran Mustafi – 6.5/10

Mustafi’s performance was bright and positive, he will feel happy to get the clean sheet. He was Arsenal’s better centre half and he kept the balls coming out from the back. Overall, an impressive performance from Mustafi.

Bukayo Saka – 6/10

Saka was brought off injured at half time but his performance before the knock was positive. He showed his good footwork and speed as he pushed forward regularly. Hopefully, he will be back and fighting fit in no time.
