With the semi-finals of the AFC Asian Cup now history, football fans are eagerly awaiting the grand finale. Jordan's impressive 2-0 victory over South Korea and Qatar's thrilling 3-2 triumph against Iran have left fans craving for more.

Jordan 2-0 South Korea

In the quarter-final games played on Feb. 2, Jordan beat Tajikistan 1-0, and South Korea defeated Australia 2-1. In the first semi-final match of the tournament, Jordan and South Korea met at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium on Feb. 6.

Jordan beat South Korea 2-0 and advanced to the final. Jordan won 2-0 with goals from Yazan Al-Naimat in the 53rd minute and Musa Al-Taamari in the 66th minute and made its way into the final.

Despite South Korea's dominance with 70% possession , they failed to register a single shot on target, highlighting Jordan's resolute defense. With 17 shots compared to South Korea's eight, Jordan showcased their attacking prowess and strategic efficiency to claim a memorable victory and advance to the final stage of the tournament.

Iran 2-3 Qatar

In the quarter-final games played on Feb. 3, Iran beat Japan 2-1, and Qatar defeated Uzbekistan 3-2 in a penalty series after finishing 1-1. In the second semi-final match, Iran and host Qatar met at Al Thumama Stadium on Feb. 7.

Qatar secured a 3-2 victory with goals coming from Jassem Gaber in the 17th minute, Akram Afif in the 43rd minute and Almoez Ali in the 82nd minute. Iran found the net through goals by Sardar Azmoun in the 4th minute and Alireza Jahanbakhsh in the 51st minute. Khalilzadeh of the Iranian team received a red card in the 90th minute of the match, leaving his team with 10 men.

Despite Iran's dominance in possession with 59%, Qatar's clinical finishing made the crucial difference. The statistics reveal Iran's attacking intent, registering 22 shots compared to Qatar's 15, with Iran managing five shots on target and Qatar recording eight. The match showcased a fierce battle between two talented sides, but it was Qatar who emerged victorious, securing a spot in the final after a thrilling encounter.

Final: Jordan vs Qatar

The final will be held this weekend, Feb.10, at the Lusail Stadium, where the opening game and World Cup final were also held.
