The Seattle Sounders are just about to finish up their sixth season in MLS (hopefully after three more games). The Sounders take on Los Angeles Galaxy next Sunday, November 23 in the first leg of the Western Conference Finals. The winner of the two leg series will host the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals, New York Red Bulls or New England Revolution, for MLS Cup on December 7th.

More from MLS

The Sounders have had quite a few players come and go in their six years of existence. There are actually only four players that remain from the 2009 team–Zach Scott, Brad Evans, Leo Gonzalez and Osvaldo Alonso.

I have watched this team from the beginning and have liked a lot of players over that time. I have been asked numerous times over the past six years on who my favorite Sounder is on the team. I always have a hard time narrowing it down to one, two or even three players. Onc year I actually listed every player on the team as my favorite player(s).

I thought it would be a good idea to put this article together of my top five Sounders players since they entered MLS play. It was very hard for me to create this list. There is no time limit on how long the player has been with the Sounders on my list. I did not include any goalkeepers on my list as they would have taken up two of my five spots.
