Okay, this one is a new rumour but it’s one I’m liking the looking of. The Daily Mail report that Arsenal is ‘considering’ a summer move for Diogo Jota. Do you know what I say? I say, absolutely do it, Mr Kroenke.

Diogo Jota is one of the most underrated players in the league and I’ve been a big fan of his all season. He has been exceptional from both a goal-scoring and creative point of view.

Jota is very good at bringing the ball down from the air, which helps him in the box as he isn’t the tallest player. He is also an excellent dribbler of the ball, as he likes to be direct with his runs. Arsenal has this with Nicolas Pepe, but they play on different sides of the pitch so this isn’t a problem.

Jota has plenty of aplomb in one-on-one situations which would make him the ideal candidate. He is very good at intricate passing, as this has been the main source of a number of goals he’s been involved in.

The Gunners have slightly swayed from their philosophy of quick passing movements in the final third but the introduction of Jota could rejuvenate this once-successful tactic. He is a real gem and ageing at just 23 years old, signing him now would prove to be one of the best decisions Arsenal have made in recent history. He’s that good.
